Chua Chu Kang MRT-Bukit Batok MRT Running Route (17km)

Click to view route link and sub-distances in detail at Earth@sg

Training. We increased our distance to 17km for our third training in the mileage build-up towards the Standard Chartered Marathon.

Route. The route takes you into a rarely-travelled part of Singapore - old Chua Chu Kang and Tengah Road. Along the way, you will see several farms like Qian Hu as well as the Home Team Academy and Tengah Airbase. Finally, the 6.8km CCK leg ends with the Lim Chu Kang cemeteries sightings. Following that, will be a 4.4km Jalan Bahar/Boon Lay route where you will pass by NTU and get some water breaks (see below). The final leg of 5.8km takes you towards Bukit Batok MRT for the finish, passing by Lakeside and Chinese Garden MRTs.

Drinking Places. In terms of drinking places, this route is much tougher than the first two. You will likely get your first water point at the 9-10km mark, along Jurong West Ave 4 or the SHELL petrol station at the 11.2km mark.

Meeting Point. The nice thing about this route is that your running group can meet at a MRT station. convenient :).
