About SGRoutes

SGRoutes blog is a collection of long-distance running routes in Singapore, for sharing with fellow runners who are looking to explore new routes.

Despite Singapore being a small country, there are still a few nice locations that we can string together into a long-distance running route.

At the end of the day, as runners, we cherish running routes that have any of these qualities:

  • Undisrupted route - a route with few momentum-breaking traffic stops.
  • Peaceful route - a route with low human/vehicle traffic and low ambience noise.
  • Shaded/cool route - a route with rows of trees lined up for shade.
  • Scenic route - a route through parks, dams, and feel-good scenes that help us forget the fatigue.
  • Accessible route - a route where start and end points are accessible via public transport.
  • Photographic route - a route that allow us to take splendid team photos for memories and blogs.
  • Well-supported route - a route with convenient access to drink points, washrooms and rest stops.
We hope to share the good running routes we have tried so far, and also to learn about new exciting routes ! If you like to link-share a running route-map, please let us know the links via any of the commenting boxes or sgroutes@yahoo.com. We will be more than happy to link to your running route-map/blog/website with mention to your spirited contribution. Thanks.
